On September 10, 1997, Tongyuan concluded a 70-year salt farm lease contract with Shejiaxiang Township Government. Through deep and cascade comprehensive utilization of seawater, the company have built a salt farm as the artemia breeding base and the fish and shrimp breeding base. Located in the southeast of Wudi County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, and on the South Bank of Bohai Bay, the farm covers an area of more than 2000 mu and now has more than 50 employees. Its annual production capacity of raw salt is more than 10000 tons, artemia cysts 20 tons, and aquatic products such as fish and shrimp e more than 12000 kilograms.
